Amateur Photographer are reporting that Samsung is working on developing a full frame professional digital SLR camera. Canon and Nikon already have full frame imaging sensors in their DSLR line-up and Sony has also announced a full frame prototype in January at the PMA show. If Samsung is to become a serous player in the DSLR market is makes sense follow the big players with a full frame sensor. Samsung has made it clear they have an ongoing relationship with Pentax, which may mean we could see two very similar Samsung and Pentax cameras featuring full frame sensors released around the same time, like we have with the current Pentax K20D and Samsung GX-20 (pictured) cameras. The Samsung GX-20 is a 14.6 (CMOS Sensor) Megapixel Digital SLR camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization, and a 2.7 inch large wide colour TFT LCD (230,000 pixels).

The GX-20 is essentially a Pentax K20D with a slightly different body design and menus and according to Samsung its own JPEG processing.

The Samsung GX-20 also features live view, high dynamic range and pixel mapping, 11 point AF, dust removal system, shoots at 3 fps, and is housed in water and dust resistant casing. Read the full story

The Samsung NV40 is a 10.5 megapixel digital camera (CCD) with a 3x Schneider-Kreuznach Varioplan branded 3x optical zoom lens (37mm – 111mm).

The NV40 features a lens with built in optical image stabilization as well as software based anti-shake technology (for both movie and still images).  It also features self portrait mode, face detection technology and the ability to shoot at up to 3200 ISO.

The NV40 has an Advanced Movie Mode which can record movies at 640×480 pixels at 30 frames per second.

The Samsung NV40 has a 2.5 inch LCD with 230,000 pixels and 20 megabytes of internal memory. Read the full story

The Samsung i8 is an 8 megapixel slim point and shoot camera with a 2.7 inch LCD screen and 3x optical zoom.

The i8 is a portable multimedia digital camera featuring MP3 player, text viewer and world tour guide as well as face detection and auto red-eye fix. The Samsung NV4 is an 8 megapixel point and shoot digital camera, with a 3x optical zoom lens (28mm – 114mm equivalent), 2.5 inch LCD screen in a slim style casing.
 
The NV4 is a multimedia camera featuring MP3 and text viewer as well as an advanced movie mode enables capturing of video at 800 x 592 pixels (MPEG-4).  It also features face detection, red eye fix and measures 94.5 x 57.0 x 17.5mm. The Samsung L210 features a 2.5 inch LCD, 10.2 megapixel image sensor, 3x optical zoom lens (37mm – 111mm equivalent).

The L210 features optical image stabilization, face detection, self portrait mode, auto red eye fix and a range of other modes.  The aperture range of the L210 is f/2.8 to f/14.1, ISO range is 80 to 1600 and shutter speed is 8 seconds to 1/1500.  The main difference from the L110 is the step up to 10.2 megapixels and more advanced movie modes.
